APTC Super Precision Four-Jaw Chuck: This is the "original" chuck in the Axminster range and is still very much its flagship. Being based on a 4" dia. metalworking chuck design, the robustness is second to none and the jaw rigidity has to be experienced to be believed. The version offered here is equipped with accessory mounting jaws to which any of the huge range of workholding jaws may be added. The basic chuck is supplied without workholding jaws in order that you may select jaws to suit your particular purposes from the range shown. In common with engineering chucks, the Super Precision chuck is designed for one-handed operation using the chuck key supplied: no need for a third hand to hold the workpiece whilst you juggle with C-spanners or tommy bars!
